Bjorn Dahl
After playing volleyball and graduating with a business degree for Long Beach state, Bjorn started Coaching. After his first Junior Varsity position at Vista High School, he was picked up a mesa junior college as an assistant. After 4 years he became the head coach at Palomar college for the Men’s Volleyball program. During his 12 years at palomar he also assisted Karl Seiler with the women’s program. During that stint, he also created, directed and coached several travel programs around the San Diego area. On the side he would help his brother in law at Johnson Cabinets in Fallbrook, ca and some summers his uncle a Teton fence company in Jackson Hole Wy. As his wife’s Lupus started to become more difficult he changed his career to ensure he was home in the evenings and weekends.
Starting in the industry in San Diego in early 2012s, Bjorn quickly became a trainer for all new employees. Training them in evaluating and repairing garage doors. After a year he became a door installer which he continued as an installer with his move to Hewitt, Texas. He worked in Austin for about 9 months, traveling down for multiple days at a time. With a daughter at Castleman Creek and a wife still struggling with Lupus, being gone three to four nights a week became a tough task for the family. He again made a change and accepted a job in Harker Heights for the Garage Door Co of Texas. During that time, he has been researching and creating Hewitt Garage Doors
Lupus Awarness
Lupus -- also known as systemic lupus erythematosus -- is a disease of the immune system. Normally, the immune system protects the body from infection. In lupus, however, the immune system inappropriately attacks tissues in various parts of the body. This abnormal activity leads to inflammation, tissue damage and illness. Although lupus cannot be cured, I can be controlled by meds and chemotherapy. The goal is to get lupus in remission.
With a wife that has had a difficulties with lupus, Hewitt garage doors will donate 5% of all profit to The Lupus Foundation Of America
